Geo Surface Contact

 

Enhancements

ㆍThe Geo Surface Contact algorithm  has many improvements  that increase contact performance, including support for symmetric multiprocessing (SMP).
ㆍSimulation time can be reduced by up to 40% to 50%  for models that heavily use Geo Surface Contacts.

ㆍThe improved contact algorithm is applied without any model modifications.
ㆍSince contact is usually used, the overall analysis speed of most RecurDyn models is improved.
ㆍThe computational speed is improved for both flexible bodies (FFlex and RFlex) and rigid bodies.

Especially effective in the following cases

ㆍBodies are in continuous contact.

ㆍA model includes many contacts.

ㆍFor FFlex contact, the contact calculation is larger than the FFlex calculation.

Static Solver and FFlex Static

Enhancements 

 

ㆍA new N-R (Newton-Rasphon) static solver finds the static equilibrium state more reliably and accurately than RecurDyn V9R5.

ㆍSupports static analysis of complex MFBD models that include contact between FFlex, Rigid and RFlex bodies.

ㆍIn development for more than 2 years.

ㆍBy calculating the initial equilibrium state of a model such as vehicle or excavator in advance, the simulation speed and accuracy can be improved.
ㆍTotal simulation time can be reduced by tuning a model through static analysis before dynamic analysis.
ㆍWhen the effect of inertia is small, the behavior of the model can be quickly observed using quasi-static analysis.
ㆍIt is possible to investigate the system’s range of motion or the interference between bodies through static analysis.

 

FFlex Static

ㆍStructural analysis of flexible bodies can confirm deformation and stress in a static state.
ㆍSupports static analysis of an MFBD model considering not only self contact of FFlex body but also contact with other bodies.
ㆍWhen a deformed shape of a flexible body is required, it can be obtained by using static analysis and extracting the results.

Unit Changes in Model

ㆍIt is now possible to change the units of the model even after creating the model.
ㆍThe newly added Change Model Units function allows the user to freely change the model units such as Force, Mass, Length and Time.

 

Endless Simulation

ㆍIt is now possible to determine whether to specify the Simulation End Time.
ㆍIf the End Time is not specified, the simulation continues until the user clicks the Stop button.

 

Screen Recorder

ㆍThe new recording options have been added to the existing Record.
